MEP Andrea Cozzolino suspended as a precaution from the register of members and voters of the Democratic Party and from all the party bodies of which he may possibly be a part. And this until the closure of the ongoing investigations by the judiciary relating to the Qatar gate scandal.

This was decided by the members of the national guarantee commission of the Democratic Party .

«The provision which applies the rules of the statute of the Democratic Party, the code of ethics and the regulation of the guarantee commissions, and which aims to protect the image of the Democratic Party and to allow the honorable Cozzolino (already self-suspended by the S&D Group of the European Parliament ) the broadest defense of one's positions - is immediately executive", explains the party.

Yesterday during the four-hour admission, Francesco Giorgi allegedly said he suspected that Andrea Cozzolino and Marc Tarabella , both MEPs of the S&D group, took money precisely through the former socialist MEP Antonio Panzeri.

Cozzolino calls himself out "indignant" assuring that he is completely unrelated to the investigation . But the elements that have emerged give new substance to the hypothesis that the scandal could fall in avalanche on other EU politicians and officials, causing the entire EU architecture to collapse.

Belgian justice follows the path of bribes while the contours of an international intrigue are outlined triggered by an all-Arab clash between the intelligence services of Doha, Rabat and Abu Dhabi .

Meanwhile, the former vice president of the European Parliament, Eva Kaili, claims her innocence from Haren prison. Giorgi, Panzeri's right hand for a long time, has acknowledged having been part of an organization used by Morocco and Qatar to interfere and influence European affairs. But he also tried to largely take charge of the accusations: his role - he revealed - was to manage the cash, in any case all his and not his partner Kaili.
