The Cesena-Fermana Serie C football championship match on February 3 will be played behind closed doors.
The sports judge decided this after what happened during Cesena-Olbia, with the invasion of the pitch and the attempted attack against the visiting goalkeeper, immediately after the final whistle, by Liman Shpendi, father of Juventus player Cristian Shpendi.
Sanction which is added to that already imposed on the Romagna club, with the closure of the sea curve, the den of Cesena fans, for the Cesena-Pontedera match on January 20th following what happened last November 25th during the Pescara-Cesena match , with repeated throwing of firecrackers which injured some stewards.
The sports judge on the matter of the pitch invasion underlines «the seriousness of the conduct» which «constitutes an act contrary to the rules regarding order and safety and a violent act which constitutes a danger to public safety. Furthermore, it represented a significant risk for the safety of members and service workers." Furthermore, he considers that "the family relationship of the perpetrator of the gesture with a footballer from the Cesena club" allows it to be classified as a "particularly serious case". The man was given a three-year Daspo .
