It's the day of the majority summit called at Villa Devoto by Governor Alessandra Todde.

On the table is the need to find a method for the provincial elections scheduled for late September. These are second-level elections that some Campo Largo parties, with limited representation in the municipalities, view as a red herring.

At the meeting, it's unlikely the recent tensions will reverberate, fueled by recent warnings from the Progressives and the Democratic Party, who have criticized the government's actions and the president's perceived overly personal leadership.

The summit will also be an opportunity to try to unite on the Budget Adjustment, which is still divided within the majority. This budget of approximately €800 million could be approved by the Regional Council before the summer recess .

The final vote in the chamber is expected between Thursday and Friday. It will also be a race against time to reach an agreement with the opposition, which at least for now appears to be an uphill battle, so much so that a postponement to September is not ruled out.
