“Profondo Nero” by Sardinian Roberto Pili awarded at the Coliseum International Film Festival

A magical atmosphere enveloped the Auditorium Cinema Seraphicum in Rome on the occasion of the awards ceremony of the Coliseum International Film Festival (Coliffe) 2024, in front of over 500 spectators.
The fourth edition of the event attracted the attention of filmmakers and film enthusiasts from all over the world, with 2,085 cinematographic works submitted from 81 countries.
Roberto Pili wins, for the second consecutive year, in the Italian documentary film category. The Sardinian director was awarded the prize for best editing for his “Profondo nero”, a work that explores how art can support mental well-being, through the story of Davide Lai, a historic Sardinian writer known in the world of urban art as Nero. On stage, the award was collected by producer Francesco Pili, presented by the actress, director and presenter of the evening Chiara Sani and by the screenwriter and director Cristiana Bini.
Among the winners are people like Stefano Fresi, Marco D'Amore, Lea Mornar, Massimiliano Varrese, Stefano and Michele Manca (aka Pino e gli Anticorpi), Dario Bandiera, Max Nardari, Stefania Casini, Corinna Coroneo and emerging actors and directors like Igor Biddau, Mauro John Capece, Michele Ragno, Gino Brotto, Angelo Donzella, Bob Caprai, Roberto Pili, Red, Manuel Cardella, Giovanni Anzaldo, Roberto Leone, Dario Pastorino, Vincenzo Della Corte, Alice Ceriani, without forgetting foreign winners like Éva Henger, Tinka Kurti, Jane Alexander, Alejandra Sandoval, Yana Marinova, Jorge Reyes, Ricardo Gamaza, Edmond Topi, Davide Fiore, Celia Rosich, Emmanuelle Schaff and many others.
Coliffe is a festival organized and curated by Aps Pianeta Empatia, under the presidency of Giuseppe Cuscusa and the artistic direction of Micol Pallucca, author of the TV series Carabinieri and Al di là del lago.
