The battle against energy speculation is once again pushing itself to the doors of politics. Starting this afternoon, Rete Pratobello 24 is starting its vigil under the Regional Council . There is a coincidence: today the budget adjustment of 600 million euros arrives in the Chamber, merged with bill 45 on suitable areas, the second point on the agenda.

Not that today the Campo largo approves everything, financial game and regulations on renewables, but the political agenda chosen by the majority officially puts Pratobello 24 out of the game. "At this point - say the promoters of the popular initiative law - we ask that bill 45 also be withdrawn ". And on this, day and night, the Committees will try to monitor.

"DDL 45 and the popular initiative law are not interchangeable," explains Davide Fadda , of the permanent Sardinian people's garrison. "The law on suitable areas accepts the 6.2 gigawatts imposed by Rome through the Pichetto Fratin decree. Pratobello 24 , on the other hand, shields the entire island from the assault of renewables, allowing only energy communities. Hence the self-determination of the Sardinians." Fadda adds: "If the moratorium, as the majority claims, has worked, there is no reason to speed up on DDL 45. This is why we are asking for the withdrawal of the bill." Lawyer Michele Zuddas speaks of "suspicious speed on DDL 45: "We would not like the day after the green light to DDL 45 to see the rush to open construction sites begin. For which the majority would be responsible and complicit."

At the Pratobello 24 Committees, Roberto Deriu , leader of the Democratic Party, says: «If the goal that unites everyone, inside and outside the Council, is to regulate the construction of plants and avoid speculation, we must have faith in the debate in the Chamber . Sardinia – continues Deriu – has already distinguished itself as the only region that has made a real moratorium to protect the territory, a very effective measure». From FdI, the deputy group leader Fausto Piga speaks: «Given that the political agenda is dictated by the majority, as an opposition we remain of the opinion that 211 thousand signatures cannot be ignored . President Todde and allies give the duty to make a synthesis of all the proposals on the table».

And if today the vigil begins under the building on Via Roma, tomorrow the cross will also arrive, brought yesterday to Uta, the fourth stop on a journey that began on October 23 in Santa Giusta. "What is happening in our Municipality - says Davide Meloni , of the local committee - is the reflection of what can happen in the rest of Sardinia".
