The torches lit, the activists who climb up and down from the saving cross as a sign of liberation, that of the Island from the wind turbines. This is the story of the conclusion of a day that, in the Regional Council, experienced its most concrete political phase around 11:20, when three councilors from the opposition pointed out that the Pratobello Law, with its 211 thousand signatures, cannot be ignored.

“Pratobello 24 the only law”, was the message written in black and white on a banner displayed by Forza Italia regional councilors Angelo Cocciu, Pietro Maieli and Gianni Chessa, asking for the discussion of the popular initiative bill. “It is not on the agenda, do not abuse my patience”, was the reply of the president of the Regional Council Piero Comandini, before the session was interrupted for about half an hour. When work resumed, after a few moments of tension, the Regional Council voted to move on to the articles of the Council’s bill on the Budget Variation.

The picket continued yesterday, with a greater number of participants than at the beginning. Among the first protesters was the lawyer Michele Zuddas, on his second day of hunger strike: "Our protest will continue indefinitely until the law reaches the Council," said Zuddas. "Starting next week, we will move the picket to Viale Trento. This is a signal we want to give to President Alessandra Todde: we will not give up an inch."
