New Appointment ment of the XVIII concert season Musica & Natura in the frame of the basilica of San Gavino , the millenary church of the city of Porto Torres . Protagonists of the concert, scheduled for tomorrow Tuesday 8 August at 21.30, the Apotheosis duo composed of musicians Silvia Maria Gita on cello and Giorgio Trione Bartoli on piano.
Theirs is a chamber project that aims to pay homage to two great composers of 19th century classical music: Brahms and Rachmaninov . Two giants of the world panorama of 19th century classical music whose 190th and 150th anniversary of birth are being celebrated this year respectively.
The repertoire curated by Apotheosis expresses soundscapes and emotional contrasts of great impact. The synergy between the two instruments, cello and piano, best represent the identities of the great composers, traditionalists and at the same time innovators, capable of expressing the period of romanticism by establishing fixed points of the modern concert repertoire. The event is organized by the Musicando Insieme association which presented a program of 21 concerts in Porto Torres and three in Alghero.
