The scenario of the basilica of San Gavino is too suggestive not to attract the interest of high-level musicians to perform in front of the ancient walls of the Romanesque church of Porto Torres.

Valuable performances by the GuerzonCellos, the Bolognese duo made up of Tiziano Guerzoni and Enrico Guerzoni, respectively father and son, Italian cellists and composers protagonists on the various stages of the world.

An almost unique setting characterized Saturday evening with the concert by the two artists in the Metropoli Atrium, the square in front of the basilica made suggestive by colored lights and a concert with great jazz, rock-pop and chamber music. Pieces by well-known singers such as Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson, proposed with unique musical arrangements, a repertoire enriched by his own compositions, a rich program that well knows how to exploit the wide versatility of the cello.

They enchanted the large audience present, that of special occasions, with a long two-hour concert, moments of true musical culture given to the many enthusiasts who occupied the large space in front of the illuminated church, made even more evocative for the occasion.

Tiziano and Enrico Guerzoni have given life to a unique and unpredictable performance , showing all their gestures, thanks to the different ways in which they play the cello, often plucking the strings as if it were a guitar. The GuerzonCellos, cellists of the Bologna school, it is no coincidence that they have worked with Italian and international artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Riccardo Muti, Zucchero, Paolo Fresu and Battiato.

Having arrived from the international event of Time in Jazz, in Berchidda, they stopped in Porto Torres for a concert included in the rich program of Musica & Natura, organized by the Musicando Insieme association under the care of the artistic director Donatella Parodi.
