“Poni mente a me”, the new album by Beppe Dettori in Sassarese and Turritano

An album that is also a project: 17 songs, of which 15 in Sassarese Turritano, one in Bittese and one - the only cover - in Algherese. Lyrics by Professor Mario Lucio Marras, narration with Eugenio Cossu. And then many artistic connections in “Poni mente a me”, a work by singer-songwriter Beppe Dettori.
An idea born from countless artistic connections including the one with the 20-year-olds Driven and a special featuring with his daughter Eleonora. And then Denise Gueye and Zeppara, Angelino Delogu, Andrea Desole, Giovannino Porcheddu and Federico Marras Perantoni.
“I have always wanted to create a project entirely in the Sassarese Turritana language. – explains Beppe Dettori – Over the years of my career I have included some songs in Sassarese in my albums, but I have never made an entire album. Here, Poni mente a me is my wish come true”.
THE DATES – There are 4 concerts/showcases, included in the program of the festival “Animas - Radici e Futuro, Music Contest”: June 13th in Porto Torres; June 22nd in Sassari; June 27th in Sorso and July 4th in Stintino.
The program of the 2025 edition of the festival is completed by the dates of June 9th in Torralba, June 14th in Giave, August 8th in Ortueri, August 10th in Gonnesa and finally September 7th in Bonorva.
