Native to Western Asia, the pomegranate has become a food enjoyed around the world for its unique flavor and numerous health benefits.

There is certainly no shortage of reasons to include it in your diet: rich in antioxidants, especially anthocyanins, it helps fight free radicals in the body, reducing the risk of chronic diseases.

Its regular consumption is also associated with a reduction in blood pressure, a decrease in bad cholesterol (LDL) and better cardiovascular health in general.

Pomegranate has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce inflammation in the body, preventing several chronic degenerative diseases such as osteoarthritis. Thanks to its high amount of vitamin C, the fruit is also known to promote skin health by helping reduce damage caused by free radicals.

It plays a key role in strengthening the immune system and thus helps the body fight infections, so much so that it has been nicknamed the "autumn vaccine".
