There is no shortage of mediation attempts, but tension remains high between the poles, which risk both being divided in the regional elections on 25 February .

In the centre-right, the League and Psd'Az do not recognize the results of last Thursday's regional table which indicated Paolo Truzzu as a candidate for president by a majority , and continue to insist on Christian Solinas.

" The leadership is up to us Sardinians, no more provocations ", attacks the councilor Antonio Moro , according to whom there is no official shared candidacy that came out of the table on January 4th. The FdI deputy Gianni Lampis reiterates: " The majority of the centre-right has asked for a new course ."

And the positions taken in favor of the mayor of Cagliari are multiplying: «Thursday's table has decided, the Sardinians are ripe to choose for themselves who should be the candidate, without impositions », states Antonello Peru of Sardinia at Centro 20 Venti. Alleanza Sardegna also reiterates: « The gubernatorial candidate is Truzzu, the coalition has expressed the need for a change at the top , which does not mean the rejection of Solinas and the Psd'Az, but a desire to go beyond the current majority, making it more strong and competitive on a political level".

And Cappellacci himself, while reiterating that Forza Italia will be in the coalition with any candidate, warns the national parties: «They should take local sensitivities into account. It would be serious if this sensitivity, which was expressed strongly for Paolo Truzzu's candidacy, were violated ."

However, the attempt at recomposition on the left was in vain . The meeting between Alessandra Todde and Renato Soru took place on 4 January in Cagliari at the Progressisti headquarters. But the broad candidate has made it clear that under no circumstances will she give up running for president.

The big news concerns the Progressives, who are very close to abandoning the founder of Tiscali to return to the broad camp . Just as the rumors of Psd'Az joining Soru's coalition are becoming more and more insistent, if Solinas fails to secure an encore .
