«Sardinia has proved to be a region capable of intercepting the challenges of the moment, activating all those actions necessary to see strategic works financed and to overcome the difficulties associated with the spending of available resources ».

Words pronounced by the president of the Region, Christian Solinas, at the end of the meeting with the minister of European and cohesion policies, Raffaele Fitto, summoned to take stock of the works envisaged by the Pnrr.

"Despite the difficulties that are affecting all the regions of Italy, and in particular the Municipalities that need the maximum support to better manage the financing and the construction of the works", assured Solinas, "we are ready to actively support the interventions presented and seize every opportunity offered by the Pnrr for the economic growth of Sardinia".

The governor spoke of «full harmony on the need to create a unitary programming that takes into account the different sources of funding and the different implementing subjects. Region and ministry», he continued, «are in harmony on this and will work within a joint group to speed up the various actions to reduce the infrastructural gap, which has an enormous weight in Sardinia».
During the meeting, Solinas highlighted the importance of projects involving Sardinia: «We are aware of the challenge we have before us, that of managing resources in the best, fastest and most efficient way and promoting projects attributable to this fundamental tool from Europe to remove the large infrastructural gap between the north and south of the country».

During the meeting, the need for "an acceleration in the procurement of works and in the assumption of legally binding obligations to give concrete answers to citizens and businesses" was underlined.
