Planes, the counter-exodus blocks continuity: flights to Milan are suspended.

The late-August exodus is turning into an odyssey. At least for those who plan to leave Sardinia these days for the two airports covered by territorial continuity. Yes, because booking a seat on a flight to Milan Linate or Fiumicino is a near-impossible mission until early September.
And while there shouldn't be any problems for tourists, who have likely booked their return flights in advance, the situation is different for residents who intend to leave in the next few days for work or health reasons.
Buying a continuous ticket is a lottery. Yesterday afternoon, booking one from Cagliari to Fiumicino or Linate was no easy feat for latecomers: no seats were available until tomorrow for the capital, and the flight to Linate was fully booked until September 2nd.
The same applies to those who prefer to depart from northern Sardinia: no flights from Olbia and Linate until September, only one (departing at 9 pm) from Alghero to Milan, and no seats from the Riviera del Corallo to Fiumicino until September 30.
The lack of flights at the end of August is certainly not a surprise , but it clearly clashes with the strategy implemented by the Region which, precisely to avoid gaps in the availability of air travel, had introduced constant monitoring of flight capacity and a consequent adjustment of flights in the event of full capacity.
