In Budoni he opened his restaurant but Matteo Vari is preparing to face the challenge of the Pizza Talent Show, which will see 10 pizza chefs from northern Italy competing and as many for central and southern Italy within the program broadcast on Alma TV.

The jury is made up of the world champion Stefano Miozzo and his colleagues Luciano Sorbillo, Fabio Sociani, Stefano Porro and Marco Quintili.

Vari, who left the local historian of Rome to land on the Costa Smeralda, fell in love with Sardinia after a trip and understood the opportunities that the island would represent for him: "In moments of economic crisis, only those who have the courage emerge. to dare, fortunately I must say that the competence and our quality gastronomic proposal have conquered Sardinians and tourists who are already starting to return ".

The pizza chef from the capital made himself known for the Guinness World Record he obtained in 2019 when he made 1,000 people eat pizza in the same place, at the Capannelle Hippodrome, and for his nomination as Team World Champion with the 'Italy last year: “Behind a handful of water and flour lies an equally important world, which gives life to pizza, the most famous Italian dish in the world, as well as a Unesco heritage. I am proud to have been selected ”.

The challenges at the Pizza Talent Show will be on four types: pizza Delivery, alternative doughs, filled pizza and the final on May 12 with gourmet pizza.

The episodes are aired every day from Monday to Friday at 10.30pm.
