Once again, the Five Star Movement's "seat factory" strikes in the worst possible way: forced interventions, significant absences from the government, cornered allies, and a political brawl that paralyzes the government's action. The appointment of local health authority managers, carried out without Democratic Party councilors, confirms a deep political fracture in the so-called Campo Largo. Far from a cohesive coalition: here we are faced with a majority that no longer trusts itself, squabbling over positions, and unloading the cost of its own divisions onto the Sardinians.
Sardinia's regional secretary and Forza Italia MP Pietro Pittalis stated this in a statement. "The Democratic Party, humiliated and bypassed, is effectively being placed under special administration in its strategic decisions. This is far from collegial discussion: we're proceeding by dictation, while our allies either sit in or walk away," he attacked.
For Pittalis, "it's a snapshot of a crippled government, wasting precious time on internal squabbles instead of addressing Sardinia's real problems: endless waiting lists, healthcare worker shortages, isolated territories, struggling businesses, and young people who continue to leave."
President Todde's political journey "is becoming more rocky every day. Tensions are no longer mere corridor whispers, but formal actions and public disagreements. Campo Largo is revealing itself for what it is: a fragile alliance, held together only by the distribution of roles, which has now become an open battleground," she concludes. "Sardinia cannot afford a majority intent on dividing up roles while the healthcare system is struggling and citizens demand concrete answers. We need stability, authority, and a leadership capable of uniting. Today, we see the exact opposite."
