Pele was discharged from the San Paolo hospital, where he underwent surgery on 4 September. The 80-year-old football legend has been operated on for the removal of colon cancer and has left the Albert Enstein in these hours, although, as prescribed, he will have to continue with chemotherapy. For now, the medical staff have said that the former champion is in "stable" condition.

“I'm so glad to be home again! - wrote Pele in a post on Facebook - I want to thank the entire staff of the Albert Einstein hospital who made my stay pleasant. (...) I also thank all of you, who from afar fill my life with so many messages of love ".
