The regional commission for the congress is meeting in the regional headquarters of the Democratic Party, in via Emilia in Cagliari, to establish how to proceed on the case of the sealed ballot boxes in Quartu.

Overall there are about 1800 ballots that will be decisive for the final result of the regional primaries of the Democratic Party on February 26th. To date, Giuseppe Meloni has obtained three thousand more votes than Piero Comandini. However, the latter can count on three or four more delegates from the Regional Assembly, which counts for the purposes of the final proclamation .

The boxes with the ballots are still sealed: on the night of the 26th the tellers had refused to proceed with the ballot because many centre-right voters would have turned up at the polls with the aim, they explained, of polluting the electoral result .
