Polling stations open from 8 to 20 for the Democratic Party primaries.

There are 5,500 offices throughout Italy , mainly in the Pd ones but not only: also theaters, schools and Arci clubs ( all the offices are on the website of the Pd primaries ).

Italian citizens, foreign citizens residing in Italy, minors aged 16 and over, off-site workers and students and non-EU citizens with regular residence permits can vote. It is not necessary to join the Pd. Minors, off-site and non-EU citizens must have pre-registered on the primaries website otherwise they will not be able to participate in the vote.

At the polling station you must bring a valid identification document, the electoral certificate and a contribution of 2 euros.

Stefano Bonaccini will await the outcome of the vote in a committee in Casalecchio di Reno, 10 kilometers from Bologna. Elly Schlein will be in Rome, in a theatre, the Spazio Diamante. While the official results of the count will be released at the Nazarene.

The governor of Emilia Romagna recalls that, if it were for the party members, he would have already won: «There had never been four candidates - he underlines - despite this, in voting in the clubs I exceeded 50% with almost twenty points of detachment". Schlein aims for a "high participation" in the gazebos. "There is a strong desire for change on the left - she adds - a left that can only be ecological and feminist". While Bonaccini "is the old model - sinks Schlein - a Pd already seen".

From the first time to the gazebos, in 2007, to the last time, in 2019, the decline has been constant: the turnout has gone from 3.5 million to 1.6 million. This time the hope is to reach at least one million .
