Another serious mourning in the world of Sardinian culture.
After the disappearance of Gianni Filippini , former director of the Unione Sarda, Paolo Fadda, 92, a columnist for our newspaper, died today in Cagliari .
He was the editor of the series of books dedicated to the most important men of the island's economy between the 1800s and 1900s but also an entrepreneur, journalist, writer, politician of the DC, friend of Francesco Cossiga, director of the Banco di Sardegna from 1968 to 1988, of Sfirs and of the University of Cagliari.
Furthermore, from 1969 to 1977 he was president of the Sardinian Mining Authority.
His latest work is an essay included in the book on Ottone Bacaredda strongly desired by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Cagliari.
Paolo Fadda, who would have turned 93 in March, had been hospitalized for some time in hospital in Cagliari where he passed away yesterday morning .
