The investigations into Matteo Minna, lawyer and support administrator of Paolo Calissano, the Genoese actor struck down in Rome on 29 December 2021 by a mix of antidepressant drugs have been closed.
Minna is accused of having tricked the actor and having stolen over 500 thousand euros from him. In addition to Calissano (the brother is the offended party and is assisted by the lawyer Santina Ierardi), the support administrator is said to have stolen money from a woman with addiction problems (for a total of 155 thousand euros) and from three other administrators (200 thousand euros ).
In December the judge had ordered house arrest on charges of aggravated embezzlement, ideological falsehood - because he would have drawn up false summary reports on the progress of the support administrations entrusted to him -, false appraisal due to an error caused by deception because it would have led to error was made by the consultant appointed by the guardianship judge of Genoa to examine the asset management and the regularity of the reports presented in relation to the assignments received.
According to the Financial Police investigators, the lawyer repeatedly withdrew money from his clients' bank accounts which then flowed into his personal account. Movements of money, often not reported to the guardianship judge, were justified as payments of (false) invoices for fees for legal assistance or other professional services of which no trace was found. To hide the withdrawals, Minna signed ideologically false periodic summary reports on the progress of the support administrations entrusted to him, failing to report on relevant circumstances.
