After two years of the pandemic, during which all the demonstrations with large gatherings have stopped, the highly anticipated "Carrasecare Oroseinu" returns, a week of events to celebrate one of the most loved anniversaries by young and old.

The Baronian center has prepared a rich program spread over three days and the choice of the municipal administration was to put the Pro Loco Tourist Association and the newly formed Consulta Giovanile online, which involved the operators and all the cultural energies of the area.

According to the mayor Elisa Farris «we wanted to give space to the traditional carnival and to the most evocative masks of the island which will arrive in Orosei to the delight of the tourists and all the enthusiasts expected in large numbers for the spectacular parades».

The inaugural event is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday 18, with a masked parade of allegorical floats at 3.30 pm starting from the former Market and arriving in Piazza del Popolo where the musical party organized by the "Leva 93" group will be held.

Shrove Tuesday at 5.30 pm starting from Piazza del Mercato second appointment with the masked parade of allegorical floats organized by the "Su Tazzeri" collective.

The key appointment is scheduled for Saturday 25 February starting at 3 pm with the participation of over 100 masked figures among traditional characters and typical groups of authentic Sardinian carnivals.

The grand finale includes the dressing and parade of the traditional masks of the island with the Mamuthones and Issohadores of Mamoiada and the Mamutzones Antigos of Samugheo as protagonists.
The itinerary of the costumed groups will end in Piazza Sant'Antonio and immediately afterwards the final procession of allegorical floats will start and arrive on the splendid Orosei coast.

Operators and structures in the area have already received many reservations: the "Carrasecare Oroseinu" appointments will kick off a very long tourist season that promises to be very intense.
