The Antiquarium Arborense museum has a new curator. It is Massimiliano Secci, a 48-year-old underwater archaeologist.

He obtained the highest score in the public selection announced by the Municipality last September: the judging commission assigned him 19 points for the project presented, to which were added another 8.5 points for the evaluation of the qualifications. A total of 27.5 points that allowed him to surpass the other five aspiring directors (three applications had been excluded). The position, long held by the archaeologist Raimondo Zucca, will last three years.
In addition to managing the complex in Piazza Corrias, currently undergoing a redevelopment project, "the director - as stated in the announcement - will have to take care of the scientific management of the towers (of Mariano II, Portixedda and Torregrande), constantly liaise with the Department of Culture of the Municipality and the Oristano Foundation for the definition of programs and projects relating to the enhancement and promotion of the museum and the monument". The competent councilor, Luca Faedda, is satisfied. "It is a fundamental role - he states - the next step will be the nomination of the new director of the Pinacoteca".
