The Porcedda bakery in Terralba , known as “Fromentu”, was awarded the silver medal for the "Innovative Panettone" category in the world competition "The Best Panettone in the World 2022" organized by the International Federation of ice cream and chocolatiers confectioners.

Over 300 producers from all over the world participated in the competition, which took place in Fiano Romano. Last year the same company took home a gold and a bronze medal. Sardamisù is the name that its inventor, Michele Porcedda who works together with the three partners Sara Porcedda, Silvia Porcedda and Virna Porcedda, has chosen for this special panettone.

Porcedda started with the untouchable elements of tiramisu, then coffee and zabaglione. Then dark chocolate, raisins, Vernaccia di Oristano, rum, Sardinian honey, egg yolks, Arborea butter and Sardinian sea salt were added.
