It's the eve of the Coppa Italia: Cagliari vs. Verona will be played tomorrow at 9:00 PM at the Domus , in the round of 32. A spot in the round of 16, away to Roma, is up for grabs, with the Rossoblu looking to build on their positive performance against Inter. "The team stayed in the game until the end, facing a top-level opponent with order, dedication, and character," commented Fabio Pisacane. "We need to build on this attitude, while also improving our decision-making skills and our ability to be more effective when we win the ball back. Good performances must translate into results."

The peculiarity of Cagliari-Verona is that it will immediately feature a clash with former players Gabriele Zappa, who moved to Hellas Verona last week . "It will be nice to see Gabriele again," says Pisacane. "We agreed we'd see each other again in a few days; he represented Cagliari for many years and left his mark here. From kick-off, however, everyone will defend their own shirt, and we'll focus exclusively on the match."

From the pitch, Cagliari's new signings Roberto Gagliardini, Yanis Massolin, and Yukinari Sugawara, along with M'Bala Nzola, the latter in his first training session, will be in the group. Yerry Mina and Gennaro Borrelli will be in personalized training. " Radunović will be in goal ," Pisacane announced. "Regarding the absentees: Mina is almost recovered, but will not be playing; Borrelli is following an individual program and is being evaluated daily. Kevin Carlos has been granted leave; he is in Spain for family reasons. We will not be able to field Sugawara at the moment while we wait for his visa."

Regarding the Japanese player and Nzola Radunović, Pisacane added that " they complete the squad with the characteristics we needed : the former offers us quality, pace, and experience on the wing; the latter adds strength, depth, and offensive presence."
