Around 250 thousand euros for an exclusive experience with George and Amal Clooney on Lake Como.
The celebrity couple has organized a charity event next summer to raise one million euros for the Clooney Foundation for Justice, which deals with war crimes and human rights. The initiative, organized by the Satopia Group and promoted on social media, will welcome sixteen philanthropists.
The package – as reported by Variety – includes a room in the luxurious Passalacqua hotel, Best Hotel in the World 2023, with rates starting at 160 thousand euros and, to brighten up the days of the wealthy guests, dinners prepared by world-famous chefs, a garden party on the lake organized by the Clooneys, exclusive visits to historic villas and cultural sites, panoramic boat tours and an evening at the Teatro Sociale in Como. Among the most evocative locations, the romantic Villa del Balbianello.
Each guest will also have to donate a minimum of €60,000 as a direct contribution to the foundation. The Clooneys have often held intimate charity events at their Villa Oleandra residence. But according to Emma Ponsonby, CEO of Satopia Group, this will be their biggest initiative in Como.
Founded in 2016, the Clooney Foundation for Justice now operates in 40 countries. According to 2022 IRS data, it has raised nearly $10 million in donations and grants.
