Almost 600 million resources in the three-year period 22-24 , of which 300 million for 2022 alone, allocated to Sardinian economic development.

The Regional Council yesterday approved the budget change which includes, among others, support for Municipalities, Provinces, mountain communities and Unions of Municipalities with 37 million euros (from the initial 32) useful for replenishing budgets aggravated by the crisis pandemic and energy price increases and ensure that services can be guaranteed to citizens further endangered by high bills; and then the measures for agriculture (80 million euros) , crafts (18 million euros with the refinancing of law 949), work (38.6 million euros, of which 20 million euros for integration of the Resisto Fund), depopulation (60 million euros over the three-year period), public works (over 50 million over the four-year period), health care (92 million over the three-year period). For the interventions of the Civil Protection (including the purchase of vehicles and calamitous events - private refreshments and local bodies) 30 and a half million have been allocated in 2022 .

"Since last night Sardinia has at its disposal a new package of measures useful for supporting the economic-social system and ensuring every Sardinian citizen the full and decisive support of the Region in an unprecedented historical moment - explains the President of the Region, Christian Solinas – Today we are going to attack the difficulties which, due to the aftermath of the pandemic crisis and the effects of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, particularly on the energy front, constitute a brake on the development of fundamental sectors for our economy". "Sectors - continued the President - which will also find further support in other lines of financing and in the next measures being defined".

The allocations in detail:

AGRICULTURESubsidies are foreseen for the citrus/fruit, artichoke/horticultural, beekeeping and cereal sectors for 20 million euros . Added to this measure are 8 million for scrolling the ranking of contributions for the start-up of young farmers (the loan makes it possible to satisfy all the requests received) and almost five million for scrolling the ranking on contributions to rural roads (also in this case the loan makes it possible to satisfy all the requests received). For the fight against locusts , between refreshments and environmental redevelopment interventions, 6,430,000 were allocated in 2022 and 2023 and almost 4 million in 2024. Another fifteen million euros were allocated as compensation for the damage caused by the spread of epizootics, i.e. infectious diseases on animals, of which 5 million intended for movement block refreshment. Four million euros were instead allocated to refreshments in favor of fruit and vegetable slaughtering and conservation companies that had not enjoyed other aid during the Covid. Nine million will instead go to defense consortia , to protect farmers.

HEALTHCARE – To the 46 and a half million allocated for the extension of the Covid contracts, 14 million are added for the increase in the tariffs pertaining to the Region which will thus not affect the sick who access rehabilitation and other types of facilities. Another 3 and a half million will go to the personnel who will have to manage the interventions of the PNRR in the health sector. 1 million euros was allocated to support ALS patients in 2023 and another million euros in 2024 . The remaining amount of resources is intended for the various screenings and interventions on the indistinct fund.

WORK – To the 20 million euros allocated to the Fondo resisto , an instrument intended for businesses - small, medium and large - and VAT registered holders to deal with the serious economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 emergency and to safeguard employment levels ( the funding allows for further scrolling of the ranking), 5,732,000 have been added for 2022 and over 6 million euros for 2023 and 2024 destined for contributions towards employment and training and employment sites .

PUBLIC WORKS – Total resources amount to 50 and a half million, which rises to 70 and a half million if port works are included . The package includes the scrolling of the rankings for the viability and maintenance of the cemeteries, the maintenance of public property buildings and the police headquarters of Cagliari, Nuoro, Sassari and Oristano. As co-financing, the Region will participate in the construction of the new sports hall in the Sant'Elia district of Cagliari for which 13 and a half million are allocated, while 3 million are allocated for the maintenance of the sports hall in Sassari. For the port works, 20 million are foreseen over the three-year period.

OTHER MEASURES - Looking at the other measures included in the budget change, 19 million euros are allocated for the safety of school buildings (school buildings), of which 1 million per year for urgent interventions, while an additional 4 million are allocated for research euros per year (16 over the three-year period), which add to the existing resources for the research law. The Region also participates in the co-financing of the “ One Hundred Churches ” program with almost 8 million euros. Again against the high energy cost, the Consorzi di Bonifica will integrate the contribution for the reduction of energy costs (22 million euros) while another 2 million are foreseen for the reduction of drainage networks. To cope with the exceptional increases in fuel prices, 1,660,000 euros have been allocated for connections with the smaller islands . In terms of social policies, the increase in funding for the anti-usury fund and support for families – Caritas (1,600,000 euros) is significant. For events related to tourism, culture, sport and entertainment, a total of over 21 million euro is allocated over the three-year period.
