An " extraordinary intervention for the full relaunch of the agro-pastoral system of Sardinia, carrying forward a path already traced with the last Budget, subsequently integrated with other measures. With the budget change just approved, we are making available to our farmers and breeders resources for 80 million euros , to which are added over 20 million for the reclamation consortia ».

Thus the president of the Region, Christian Solinas , comments on the measures in support of agriculture contained in the Omnibus which has been given the go-ahead by the Council .
THE MEASURES – In detail, 20 million euros of subsidies have been allocated for the citrus and fruit, artichoke and horticultural, beekeeping and cereal sectors . Furthermore, 8 million are foreseen for the scrolling of the ranking of contributions for the start-up of young farmers and almost 5 million for the scrolling of the ranking of contributions to rural roads , in order to satisfy all the requests received.

To counter the invasion of grasshoppers , between refreshments and environmental requalification, 6 million and 430 thousand euros were allocated in 2022, the same in 2023 and almost 4 million in 2024 .
To compensate for the damage caused by epizootics, the spread of infectious diseases in farmed animals , 15 million euros have instead been allocated, of which 5 million for refreshments due to the blockage of movements. Four million euros will then go to fruit and vegetable slaughtering and preservation companies, which had not benefited from other aid during Covid, and 9 million to defense consortia (insurance for farmers). Added to all these measures are the 22 million euro allocated to the reclamation consortia to integrate the contribution for the reduction of energy costs.
"We have allocated important resources - adds Solinas - starting with two fundamental sectors for our economy, such as fruit and vegetables and cereals , characterized by high quality productions, which more than others have suffered from the increase in the cost of raw materials, of energy and fertilizers, and in recent times they have also had to deal with severe adverse weather and climate events that have damaged the crops".
"Now we must also continue on the path of streamlining and simplifying procedures and in strengthening the workforce of our structures and agencies to guarantee farmers and breeders certain times and even faster in the disbursement of payments", the conclusion.
