Arianna Fontana and Francesca Lollobrigida set to conquer the Winter Olympics.

The skating queen wins the silver medal in the 500-meter short track final at Milan-Cortina. After winning gold in the mixed relay, the Italian champion reaches 13 Olympic medals, tying fencer Edoardo Mangiarotti's record for Olympic medals.

Lollobrigida took the gold medal in the 5,000-meter speed skating event. This is the Italian champion's second title, following her gold in the 3,000-meter event. It's Italy's sixth gold medal. " Federica Brignone's gold medal also gave me a boost," Lollobrigida commented, " because it confirmed to me that they can tell you it's impossible, maybe you believe it too, but only we truly know how to make things possible." "I also had a moment this season when I didn't believe it," she emphasized.

Of the six gold medals Italy has won at Milan-Cortina so far, two are his. "How wonderful," he concluded. "I couldn't, I couldn't have asked for anything better."

Mixed relay bronze

Italy won another medal in luge at the Milan-Cortina Games. After a double gold medal, Italy's Verena Hofer, Dominik Fischnaller, and the two Olympic champions, Emanuel Rieder/Simon Kainzwaldern and Andrea Voetter/Marion Oberhofer, took bronze in the mixed relay. Germany took gold.
