It's now official, Agustin Albarracin is a Cagliari player .

The twenty-year-old Uruguayan, born in Montevideo on August 29, 2005, has signed a contract that ties him to the rossoblù until June 30, 2030 , with the option to extend for another season.

He grew up in the youth academy of Montevideo Wanderers, with whom he signed his first professional contract in 2023, before moving to Boston River in 2025. Here he scored 11 goals in 33 appearances , before being purchased outright by Cagliari.

The Rossoblu club has decided to focus on him, a "modern and dynamic" striker, also for his versatility. He prefers to start from the center in a two-man attack, but can also adapt to playing on the wings .

Strong technical skills, an eye for goal, and a great ability to participate in the play. Albarracin is one of the brightest prospects in Uruguayan football , a key figure in the Under-20 national team, where he has bonded with another Rossoblu player, Juan Rodriguez .

The strong bond between Uruguay and Cagliari continues, with many players from the "Celeste" having landed on the island in recent decades. Many of them have been great stars: from Vecino to Fonseca, from Dario Silva to "Prince" Francescoli, from the magician O'Neill to Herrera, and even Abeijon, Diego Lopez, and Nandez, to come to the present day.
