The funds allocated by the Sardinian regional council are a total of 3 million and 800 thousand euros as a house rental contribution for Sardinian students who attend university courses on the island or outside the territory. The reference academic year is 2022-2023.

For 2022, the allocation is allocated to the competent Department of Education and the ERSU regional bodies for the right to study of Cagliari and Sassari.

Grants can be paid up to a maximum of 2,500 euros per year for each student and can benefit " off-site " students born in Sardinia and resident for at least 5 years, enrolled for the academic year 2022-2023 in academic courses set up in the Italian universities, academic courses set up in schools or institutes that make up the Higher Artistic, Music and Choreutic Training System (AFAM), academic courses set up in High Schools for Linguistic Mediators. Again: academic courses set up at any Faculty of the Pontifical Universities and courses set up in foreign universities, authorized to issue qualifications with legal value in the territory in which they operate and throughout the European Community.

THE RULES - "Students - explains the Region - must be resident in a place distant from the location of the course attended and for this reason they take accommodation for consideration near that location, using public residential facilities or other private accommodation or entities for a period of not less than ten months. Students whose ISEE (Indicator of the Equivalent Economic Situation of their family unit), with specific reference to 'subsidized benefits for the right to university study', does not exceed 35 thousand euros . Students enrolled no later than the 1st year out of the course. Students enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor's Degree course and a single-cycle Master's Degree course with a secondary school diploma of no less than 70/100. Students enrolled in the first year of a Master's Degree course with a degree diploma not less than 90/110, students enrolled in years subsequent to the first in possession of the minimum required University Credits (CFU) ".

Furthermore, it is emphasized, for those attending degree courses outside Sardinia, "in the event of equal scores, within the same ranking, the requests of those who attend university courses whose degree class is not present in the Sardinian universities. In case of further equality, the lower ISEE indicator and the minor age will be taken into consideration in order ". The contribution can be combined with funding for participation in Community programs (Socrates and Erasmus), exclusively for the months spent at the headquarters.

PRIORITIES - The ERSUs of Cagliari and Sassari must use the amounts assigned by giving priority to students who are "eligible not beneficiaries" in the rankings for scholarships and accommodation and prepare the publication of the Call for the academic year 2022 / 2023 in favor of non-resident students who attend university courses in universities in Sardinia.
