Nobento , a leading company in the production of fixtures, has applied for extraordinary layoffs for 24 months to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies and the latter has adjourned the session to 4 September.

In the meantime , the CGIL reports, a trade union delegate would have been fired , "performing a violent, serious and intimidating act, as well as in our opinion illegitimate, which will find justice and the correct forum for confrontation in the courts", write the general secretary of the province of Sassari Massimiliano Muretti and Giovanni Doppiu, coordinator Fiom CGIL North Sardinia.

"The first request for extraordinary layoffs, formally advanced by Nobento on 1 August 2023, was rejected by the Ministry of Labor precisely because of the company's inability to carry on a confrontation with the social partners", recalls the union force . «Today, 28 August, at the table with the Ministry of Labour, the company confirmed its usual attitude: on the one hand it declares its willingness to dialogue and compare notes, in fact never practiced, on the other it communicates that the CIGS will be required starting from the end of September, no longer for 12 months but rather for 24 and that, in order to meet the requirements for the concession of the same, the restructuring of the production lines will concern not only lines 1 and 2 but also line 3 and 4, also specifying that there are no possibilities to identify other management tools», the document continues.

«We are facing a real social and work storm that is breaking down in an area that has never seen a company reach over 300 employees in such a short time, and which has never known the impact of a cash extraordinary integration which seems destined to turn into a definitive crisis and therefore without the possibility of recovery to the detriment of the entire territory and over 300 families», warn the two trade union representatives of the CGIL.
