Artists paying homage to another artist. Angelo Maggi, a 71-year-old painter and sculptor from Sassari, passed away this morning. Nicola Urru, sculptor of sand works, wanted to celebrate him with a "drawing" on the beach of Platamona which reproduces two faces of women, an unmistakable image of many of Maggi's works. The same ones that every year have characterized the cover of the “Musica & Natura” event, the classical and jazz music festival organized in Porto Torres by the Musicando Insieme association.

Nicola Urru remembers: «Once you told me in front of a large canvas not yet completed, depicting melograms, that we cannot pretend to explain that particular red, of which my heart and yours are made, to those who were not born from a pomegranate." Donatella Parodi, artistic director of Musica & Natura, will never be able to forget when her exhibition of prestigious paintings inaugurated the Radici di Sardegna event in 2022. «Her unmistakable style, her sensitivity, her design that for over 15 years has accompanied in the concert series. An unbridgeable loss."
