Nicola Mancosu, a 30-year-old Sardinian boxer from Villamassargia, won the Italian bantamweight title by defeating Claudio Grande, a fighter from Massa who was also a former national champion in the category.
The victory came on points after 10 rounds, with a unanimous verdict (96-93, 96-93, 96-93) .
The meeting, organized by Mario Loreni's Promo Boxe Italia and sponsored by the Italian Boxing Federation (FPI), took place as part of the 28th edition of the Primo Carnera Trophy in Sequals, Friuli.
