After many years the great New Year's concert returns to Iglesias to celebrate the arrival of 2023 in the name of fun.

Multifaceted talent, often grappling with other passions such as dubbing, acting and cabaret, the Piedmontese artist has recently released an already very successful album, Truman.

Born in 1987, he took his first steps in the world of rap at the age of sixteen, but almost at the same time he began to get noticed for his extraordinary comic verve, winning the first stage of the Zelig Urban Talent in 2011.

The first real success comes in 2013, when he participates and wins the MTV Spit program hosted by Marracash, beating Nitro in the final.

The first album, released by Warner Music, arrives in 2015 "Mirabilansia" and is immediately a great success.

The following year, he released his second full length, Clownstrofobia, a work in which he alternates songs typical of his character with other more introverted and mature ones, such as Patch Adams, a song he particularly cares about.

His most important hit is "Bene but not very well", a song that reaches over 20 million views in a few months, double platinum and becomes a privileged pass to reach the final of the Summer Festival.

Now consecrated by the public and critics, at the end of 2017 he launched the song "Irraggiungibile" with the Sardinian singer-songwriter Federica Carta while the following year he participated in the success of Benji & Fede "On Demand".

In 2019 he participated in the Sanremo Festival together with Federica Carta, with the song "Without doing it on purpose", obtaining enthusiastic acclaim. During the first months of the tragic pandemic, he created a summer hit, Autostop, while last year he launched the song "In an hour", Love Island's theme song.

In June 2022 Shade publishes with Sony Music- Epic Records Italy the single "Sitting bulls" which sees the special featuring of J-Ax

A strong relationship with Sardinia. How did the collaboration with Federica Carta come about?

“She was born in the summer of 2017 after hearing her perform at the Wind Summer Festival. I had a song ready and was looking for a female voice so I instagramed them, and the rest is history! A splendid relationship was born between us which still lasts today and I hope it will last forever”.

What do you like most about the island?

I like everything about Sardinia, more than the landscapes and wonders that this land offers I like the people, the attitude that people have in welcoming you, in always proving to be very altruistic and kind. At the events the audience is incredible, there is always so much warmth”

How was the 2019 experience in Sanremo?

“In 2019 it was very nice in Saremo, it is a special stage for all the artists who perform there. Both positively and negatively, it makes you grow a lot. The song was a huge hit and it was definitely a positive experience. Let's say that with the maturity of now maybe I would live it even better. In recent years the Festival has changed a lot, it was, even with the advent of the Fantasanremo and with the change of artistic direction, much more festive and playful, while when we went it was a little more 'serious'. And maybe our personality hasn't fully emerged, but there's always time to go back to it, so let's cross our fingers”.

After Truman, what can his fans expect?

“I'm the anti record market, I'm making people wait so long because I had some problems at a work level, so I couldn't release before. If there's one thing they have to wait for, it's maturity and evolution in lyrics and sounds. Maybe there will be even more features than Truman, I hope the fans won't be disappointed."
