The National Archaeological Museum Antiquarium Turritano and its area of Palazzo di re Barbaro will respect the extraordinary opening on New Year's Day , January 1st, from 9 am to 1 pm. It will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day , December 25th and 26th, while on the other days from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm it will be open regularly.

In recent days, the “Antiquarium Turritano” museum, inaugurated on December 15, 1984, celebrated 40 years of activity with a series of special events . Three days of initiatives involving experts, archaeologists, institutional representatives, the community and the cultural realities of the territory to retrace four decades of activity. From the first event – “La rete di Turris” – which saw the participation of numerous museums and institutions that illustrated their relationship with the Antiquarium Turritano Porto Torres, to the photographic exhibition “Memorie da Turris”, which retraced the history of the museum with articles and period shots, up to the final event “Racconti di Turris” in which personalities linked to the institution proposed anecdotes and stories about the 40 years of activity of the museum.
