Guest of the column , conducted by the journalist Fabrizio Meloni , head of Communications and External Relations of the Aou , will be Professor Alberto Cauli director of Rheumatology of the Duilio Casula Polyclinic .

Arthritis is a chronic inflammation of the joints , in which an autoimmune mechanism mediated by autoantibodies is involved. The most severe forms of arthritis can deform joints, impairing the ability to perform even the simplest daily tasks. It is a more common pathology in female patients and can strike at any age, including children, affecting 1-2% of the population. With the help of Professor Cauli we will try to understand what are the causes , symptoms and treatments to combat a very disabling pathology .
