The protagonist of the short is a director in search of answers, who decides to film his session with the psychologist. Riccardo Cavallo, a student at the Academy of Fine Arts “Mario Sironi” in Sassari, with the work "Dubbi" is among the 13 winners of the XVIII edition of the National Arts Award 2024 - Community of Knowledge, created by the Ministry of University and Research, Higher Education in Art, Music and Dance, and organized by the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania. The award ceremony for the students selected among the authors of the 129 final works took place at the Teatro Bellini in Catania. 480 students from 25 state academies of fine arts and a music conservatory had signed up for the competition.

Riccardo Cavallo, who participated in the Visual Arts Section: Figurative, Digital and Scenographic Arts, with the subsection “Audiovisual production of documentation/narration”, presented his short film that was awarded with the following motivation: «For the ability to tell a reality in a raw and vulnerable way, creating a dialogue/monologue that highlights the need for authentic, sensitive and non-artificial or technological relationships. The work stands out for its psychological depth, offering an external observation that becomes intense and engaging. Through an original visual and narrative interweaving, the artist manages to return a real but subjective fact, highlighting the challenges and hopes of the new generations. This intimate and profound narration invites the viewer to reflect on contemporary relational dynamics».

The director of the "Sironi" Academy, Daniele Dore, commented: « The awarding of the Prize is a source of great satisfaction for the Academy of Fine Arts of Sassari. Our applause goes to Riccardo Cavallo, whose commitment and passion we know, and to whom we wish a path full of other important artistic and professional goals. It is a result that encourages us to continue on the paths undertaken with a view to an ever greater growth of our Academy».
