Radja Nainggolan returns to Italy?
The hypothesis is on the table, according to what was reported by the website of sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The team that is reportedly talking to the Belgian, formerly of Cagliari and Roma, is Trapani, who play in Serie C.
"Trapani wants to make an already memorable summer transfer market session epic," writes gianlucadimarzio.com. Adding: "The Sicilian club, according to what our editorial team has gathered, has been talking to Radja Nainggolan in the last few minutes. The former Roma and Inter midfielder hasn't played since November 2023, when he had a brief spell with Bhayangakara. The Sicilian club, therefore, wants to understand his health conditions and understand, obviously, whether it is possible to complete an operation that would be sensational. In fact, Nainggolan has never played in Serie C in his career. His last spell in Italy dates back to a year and a half ago, when his former teammate and great friend, Daniele De Rossi, then coach of Spal, convinced him to embrace the white and blue project."
"Radja - it is emphasized - wants to relaunch himself and, who knows, maybe at 36 years old Trapani could represent the right opportunity to do so. For now, as mentioned, between the Sicilian club and the Belgian born in 1988 there have only been contacts but if it were to become concrete it would undoubtedly be one of the most important operations in the recent history of Serie C and would constitute a very important element also in the economy of the championship itself".
