Musica sulle Bocche: three weeks with music stars

The 24th edition of the international festival "Musica sulle Bocche", created by Enzo Favata, raises the quality standards even further and offers concerts from dawn to dusk that enhance various places in Northern Sardinia. The event was presented this morning in the Chamber of Commerce.
The program concentrated in three weeks is truly impressive: from 4 to 25 August. The first artists to perform will be Irene Salis (the 4th in Chiaramonti) and the Japanese pianist Eri Yamamoto (the 5th in Martis).
On 16 August in Alghero, the world premiere of BUM, a "universal music" project that brings together the Indian singer and composer Bindhumalini Narayanaswamy, the Moroccan singer and musician Hind Ennaira, the Argentine drummer Pablo la Porta, Pasquale Mirra (vibraphone), Fabio Giachino (piano) and Marco Frattini (percussion).
Castelsardo will offer four days from the 17th to the 20th. Of note is the German cellist Anja Lechner, star of Ecm Record and the reunion of the quintet Daniele di Bonaventura, Marcello Peghin, Salvatora Maltana, UT Gandhi and Enzo Favata, 25 years after the release of 'Atlantic' album.
Concerts will also be held at the mouth of the Coghinas (Valledoria), in Balai (Porto Torres), Tergu and Asinara (Porto Torres), while the closing is scheduled in Bulzi on 25 August with the Banda Garibaldina di Monte Surdu.
