The "GA Sanna" Museum of Sassari will remain open on the two days from 9 to 13.45. In addition to the finds from the pre-Nuragic to the Roman age, the traveling exhibition “The shape of gold. Stories of jewels from ancient Italy” with pieces from the regional directorates of museums in Puglia, Calabria, Basilicata, Marche, Molise, Campania and the archaeological park of Pompeii.
The National Art Gallery of Sassari, in Piazza Santa Caterina, will remain open from 9 to 19.30. It offers paintings ranging from the 16th century to the contemporary and the exhibition “Paesaggi/Landscapes. Sardinia in 19th and 20th century painting”, with more than 150 works that tell the story of 150 years of nature, cities and towns on the island through images.
The Garibaldi Compendium of Caprera will be open from 8.30 to 19.30 and it will be possible to visit inside Giuseppe Garibaldi's windmill, the photographic exhibition by Francesco Arancioni dedicated to the main monuments of the General erected in the squares of cities around the world entitled “Garibaldi. Moving statues" .
A part of the photographs will also be exhibited at the Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial, also in Caprera, in the multimedia rooms. Opening only in the afternoon: from 14.15 to 19.45.
The Basilica of San Saturnino in Cagliari , one of the main early Christian monuments in the Mediterranean, will only be open on August 15 from 5 to 9 pm. Admission is free.
