Lorenzo Musetti won the bronze medal in the Olympic tennis tournament on the courts of Roland Garros, in Paris .
The Italian, defeated yesterday in the semi-final by Novak Djokovic, prevailed over the Canadian Auger Aliassime in the final for third place with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 .
Historic feat for Italian sport, which returns to an Olympic medal in tennis after exactly 100 years . Tomorrow the final for the men's gold between Alcaraz and Djokovic and, above all for us Italians, that of the women's doubles which sees Errani and Paolini opposing the Russians Shnaider and Andreeva.
« It was very hard, but I sacrificed myself for the blue jersey and now I'm very happy because they were repaid with this very important medal . As they asked me from the stands, I never gave up," the tennis player told Eurosport.
