In Cagliari the race for the municipal elections of the Movimento civico list, in support of the centre-right mayoral candidate Alessandra Zedda , has stopped. The stop comes after the exclusion from the municipality's central electoral office. Thus there will be 20 and not 21 lists running in the administrative elections on 8 and 9 June .
The basis for the exclusion would be an insufficient number of signatures: upon expiration of the deadline for submitting the documentation, last Saturday, the managers of the municipal offices had admitted the packages with reservation due to a six minute delay in delivery.
The movement's spokesperson Simone Paini rejects the thesis, after having already hypothesized an appeal to the TAR in the event of a negative decision . For tomorrow, the leaders of the movement have announced a press conference at the electoral headquarters of Alessandra Zedda, to illustrate the details of the affair. Meanwhile, the order in which names, symbols and lists will be printed on the ballot paper for the capital municipality has been extracted: first the candidate Emanuela Corda with her Alternative list, followed by Massimo Zedda with ten lists from the broad field (in the order , Psi-Sardi in Europa, Cagliari che I would like, Progressisti, Orizzonta Comune, M5s, Pd, Avs, Sinistra Futura, A Innantis, Cagliari Avanti), then Alessandra Zedda with seven centre-right lists (Psd'Az, Sardegna al Centro 2020, Fi, Alleanza Sardegna, Lega - Anima di Sardegna-Pli, Riformatori Sardi, Fdi), finally Claudia Ortu with Cagliari Popolare and Giuseppe Farris with CiviCa 2024.
