Mugoni beach in Alghero is the most beautiful in Porto Conte: located on the north-eastern end of the vast inlet, it is best accessed with a short walk.

Large in size, the beach extends south-east and north-west for a couple of kilometers and is surrounded by a thick forest of pines and eucalyptus.

It has golden sand and green water, often polluted and not transparent in the high season. Sometimes it is partially invaded by banks of beached Posidonia.

A short distance away are the Nuraghe Sant'Imbenia, the Roman villa and the Spanish tower.

HOW TO REACH IT - Take the Alghero-Capo Caccia road, continuing northwards past the junction of Le Bombarde Beach. Leaving the junction on the left for the tourist and agricultural village of Maristella, shortly afterwards it is necessary to find a poorly marked white road, on the left, about 400 meters away, after having skirted the Pineta Mugoni, which surrounds the beach.
