Cagliari's next match will be postponed, on Monday at 6:30 PM in Monza , eight days after their draw against Juventus . The referee has just been appointed: Andrea Calzavara, also from Lombardy, having been appointed to the Varese refereeing team. He will be accompanied on the pitch by assistants Giuseppe Perrotti (Campobasso refereeing team) and Marco Scatragli (Arezzo), with Luca Pairetto (Nichelino) as the fourth official. In Lissone, Gianluca Aureliano (Bologna) and assistant Rodolfo Di Vuolo (Castellammare di Stabia) will be in the VAR room.
Calzavara isn't a new name for Cagliari this season, as the away match in Monza isn't his first appearance of the season . He was there for his official Coppa Italia debut on August 14th against Arezzo. It wasn't a particularly easy match: he had the penalty that would have given the score the lead (initially saved by Nunziante against Deiola) rebounded because visiting defender Gilli had entered the penalty area before the kick and then interfered with the play. He then revoked a penalty awarded to Arezzo, and in stoppage time, sent off Fabio Pisacane for protesting a clear foul on Maldini that wasn't awarded. Since that match, he's been selected three times in Serie B and once in the Coppa Italia; Monday's will be his fourth in Serie A.
