Funds for refreshments are still at stake, and so one year and nine months after the devastating Montiferru fire, "most of the people who have seen their businesses and properties reduced to ashes have not yet received the funds to deal with the damage" .
This was reported by the M5s regional councilor Antonio Solinas , who also announces the request for an urgent convening of the Productive Activities commission of the Council with the hearing of the Councilor for Agriculture Valeria Satta .
"We want to know the timing of completing the administrative procedures, the compensation is due and can no longer be extended," attacks the opposition exponent.
Solinas defines the attitude of the Region as "shameful": " We have gone from the catwalks in the immediacy of the facts to silence. The special fund for the disbursement of contributions to private individuals and productive activities was established in November 2021, then the times lengthened dramatically, we do not understand the reasons why the Region is delaying in concluding the process to give relief to those who have suffered extensive damage".
The Montiferru fires devastated 240 farms and livestock farms, educational farms, hundreds of beehives, houses, 20,000 hectares of woods. And again, cultivated fields, pastures, millenary trees. And they killed wildlife, working animals and even many pets in atrocious suffering.
