You can be Miss Italy, a model or an actress and still take "a lifetime" to accept your face.

This is unveiled by Miriam Leone, first classified in the 2008 beauty contest, from 14 October at the cinema with “Marilyn has black eyes” by Simone Godano, alongside Stefano Accorsi.

“People see me beautiful and I can't understand. I am never happy with my appearance. But in this film, I who never see myself again, got excited to see the register changes in the same scene ", she says in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

Her adolescence in Catania was rather complicated: "I felt different even physically, they turned to me as if I were a foreigner". They often teased her for her thick eyebrows, a hallmark of her particular beauty.

But my high school mates didn't see it like this: “They told me I was Elio delle Storie Tese. Today it's fun because I'm an age. But why should I take it if on social media he insults me, to say, Giuseppino88? Ease of criticizing others is bar chatter that is worth zero. Things change in the very young, I see an important acceptance of diversity ”.

In the heart remains the competition in 2008: “It was a door to emancipation, my audition in front of millions of people. After that I was able to walk alone, experiment, get to know people's affection. Every day in a different place, from small towns to New York. You must return the crown: I made a copy that I keep in the bathroom. I needed a testimony. One day, when I am old, I will show it to my children and grandchildren and I will say: I was Miss Italy ”.
