This morning in Milis Renato Soru met his supporters   to «start the organizational and participatory process» of Progetto Sardegna.

A meeting, in the conference room of Villa Pernis,   very participatory in which, it is announced, «it was decided to set up eight promoting committees which in the various provinces of Sardinia will have the task of promoting political activity and the adhesion of citizens. From now on, the committees will be animated by the candidates for the regional elections on the constituency lists and by the various militants who were particularly active in the electoral campaign. It was also decided to set up eleven thematic groups which will delve into the various themes which characterized the Progetto Sardegna proposal during the electoral campaign: second Autonomy and reform of the Region, territorial governance, energy transition, digital transition, school, mobility, healthcare, inclusion social, work and business, culture, peace and military servitude".

In the coming months «the political manifesto of the movement will be drawn up which will confirm the desire to build the political home of those who do not recognize themselves in the forcing of national bipolarism. Progetto Sardegna aims to build over time a vision and a project for a possible Sardinia, capable of creating a new relationship with the national state and with the Europe of peoples and regions. A more autonomous Sardinia with greater responsibilities for self-determination and capable of expressing a better quality of self-government. A Sardinia characterized by a strong desire to find within itself the ideas, the strength and the will to overcome the development delay and find its own way for the creation of an educated, modern, sustainable, fair and just society. The organizational work in the territories and the launch of the thematic groups will start from tomorrow. The first in-depth conferences on the various priority themes on the regional political agenda will be organized next April."

There was also talk of the latest regional elections in which Renato Soru stopped below 9%. Hence «the need to modify the Sardinian electoral law which in recent elections denied the right of representation to almost nine percent of voters . It is completely clear that according to the Sardinian electoral law not all citizens are equal and have equal rights. The threshold set at 10% is used in an instrumental and discriminatory manner. The electoral law with which in a few months we will vote for the election of the European Parliament provides for a threshold set at 4% and is within the European rule which requires that in the State the threshold cannot be higher than 5 %. For this reason, also to be a stimulus to the regional council, it was decided to explore the possibility of presenting an appeal to the constitutional court and the European court of justice ."
