Long weekend of August 15th in Castelsardo dedicated to tradition. It begins on Sunday 13th, with the concert by Maria Giovanna Cherchi and ends on Wednesday 16th with a ballroom dancing evening in Piazza la Pianedda, passing through the 90s show by Carolina Marquez and the night of fireworks from the Doria Castle.

The municipal administration and the Proloco di Castelsardo propose the concert of the beloved Sardinian singer Maria Giovanna Cherchi who will present her warhorses together with "Sirena", her latest musical effort, an assortment of eleven tracks strongly characterized by an ethno formula -pop, born after a three-year gestation through the pandemic period and which represents a return to the roots, always keeping up with the times. The disc also contains a duet with Fausto Leali and the Black Soul Gospel Choir in "Deus ti salvet Maria".

On Wednesday 15, however, the passion for the 90s will dominate. Carolina Marquez, the queen of disco dance, will take the stage in Piazza Nuova, who made her debut in Italy in 1997 with her first single, SEXO, which immediately became a hit and which led her to become one of the most important figures in the dance scene Italian. In the nineties he climbed the Italian and European charts, positioning himself in the Top Ten summer catchphrases and, in recent years, offers remixed pieces, in collaboration with DJ Matrix and Gabry Ponte.

At the stroke of midnight the fireworks will light up the summer sky from the terraces of the Doria fortress, drawing lights and colors on the most anticipated of summer nights.

Wednesday 16, the "three days" of August ends with an evening of dancing in the square accompanied by the music of maestro Gianluca Pittalis, a high-level musician and a talented entertainer who, with his accordion, will involve those present in wild dances of group and smooth at will.
