He is one of the most renowned metal drummers from Brazil, famous throughout the world. Aquiles Priester will perform in Porto Torres, with his gigantic drums, on February 17th starting at 7pm at the Andrea Parodi municipal theater, to give the public an entirely original performance resulting from the experience gained over the years.

The event, included in the second edition of Bateras Beat Drum Festival, is organized by the cultural association Pino e gli Anticorpi and Fabrizio Murgia.

Born in 1971, Aquiles Priester, born in Otjo in South Africa, moved to Brazil in 1977 where he played in various Italian teams. He fell in love with drums at the age of 14 after attending the Rock in Rio event and began playing with various local bands such as The Tropical Band and Stylo Livre. In 1997 he founded Hangar of which he is still a member. So far he has released nine albums fusing trash metal with Brazilian style and achieving great success.

During the evening the Brazilian drummer Ramon Montagner, the Ligurian Elisa Pilotti and the Roman Andrea Gianangeli will also perform.
