Question and answer on the European funds destined to the PNRR between Giorgia Meloni and Enrico Letta .

The leader of the Brothers of Italy and the secretary of the Democratic Party were the protagonists of a confrontation, hosted by the Corriere, in view of the vote on 25 September.

And among the various issues on which they debated, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan could not be missing.

"That it can be updated is reasonable," said Meloni , explaining: "Portugal asked for it and Gentiloni said it is very interesting. And we can't do it? We need to use it more on energy supply ", added the head of Fdi.

Enrico Letta of a completely different opinion: "The PNRR should not be renegotiated because if you ask it we will give a message to those who lend us that money, that is, that Italy is unreliable" . The secretary dem added that "inside the PNRR there are already the mechanisms to reshape it on the needs due to the energy crisis ".

However, the ally Matteo Salvini has also pressed the leader of Fdi in the last few hours. "The concern of the Italians at the moment is the bills ," said the leader of the Lega from Florence. “They must be put on the table - continued 30 billion euros to help Italians pay their bills, immediately. Those who say no to an intervention do not know their country. With Giorgia we will win the elections but I don't understand why Meloni hesitated on this. You need money today, right now. How can you not understand? It is now necessary to put 30 billion into debt, as we did with Covid, waiting for Europe to intervene in the coming months ”, concluded Salvini.
